I feel that each of my pieces are like fellow travelers, each having a story of their own. Each piece of material used, be it stones, coral, seeds or metal has traveled far distances and have all come together to form a beautiful piece of art ready to be seen in the way you choose to wear it.
Michele Judge started her career as a sculptor, graduating from the Tyler School of Art with a BFA in sculpture. She traveled for three years around countries such as Guatemala, Mexico, El Salvador and Italy, and learned the art of jewelry making from fellow street vendors on the streets of Rome. The manipulation of metals, combined with the designing of the colors and texture of the stones, seeds, and glass was a perfect outlet for her creative talents.
Having learned from artists with backgrounds ranging from Mexico and South America to Spain and Italy, Michele creates pieces that are unique not only in their materials but also in the diversity of their techniques.
